THE TECHNIC PLATFORM REQUIRES THAT ALL MODPACKS HOSTED ON THEIR NETWORK BE FREE TO ACCESS, DOWNLOAD, AND PLAY.

Servers and Multiplayer

We openly encourage the use of our modpack as a base for modded Minecraft multiplayer servers.

However, do keep in mind that we assume no liability for the welfare or stability of these servers. However, if there is a bug within our modpack, then please report it via the “Report a Bug” page on our Website. We will not accept bug reports sent to us via Facebook or via Email.

NOTE: We also assume no responsibility for these servers when regarding Mojang AB’s EULA or the Terms of Service posted by the various Minecraft server hosting companies out there.

Redistribution

Our modpack is provided through the Technic Platform and was built to be distributed via the Technic Platform only.

While we cannot police what users do with the modpack’s files once downloaded, we politely ask that users please do not redistribute any parts of our modpack (this includes: Mod files, Configuration Files, Core files, Textures, Sounds, etc.)

Note: We assume no responsibility for any instability that may arise as a result of modifying the modpack’s files.

Updates

We will try to update our modpack whenever we need to. Our goal is to push out at least two updates a month. However, depending on certain circumstances, this might not be possible.

When Minecraft updates to a new version, all mods written for the previous version will break and become incompatible. Because of this, an update to the next version of Minecraft for our modpack will not happen instantly.

Before we can update our modpack to a newer version of Minecraft, we need to ensure the following criteria are met.

  1. Minecraft Forge has updated to a Stable build.
  2. All of the mods within our modpack have been updated.
  3. There are no game-breaking bugs.
  4. Multiplayer Works

While this may seem like a small list, completing this list can take quite some time. Especially when we’re waiting for mod/forge updates.

Requesting a Mod

We are always open to new requests for mod additions. However, we are not obligated in any way, shape, or form to add a mod to our pack just because it was requested.

You can request a mod via this form.

Reliability and Update Schedule

As stated above, we will try to have at least two updates out per month. However, giving some circumstances, this may not be possible. If we know that we won’t be able to meet this quota, we will let you know via this site and our Facebook page.

There are also some situations which are beyond Pyritecraft’s control which may hinder the update process for an unspecified amount of time. Those circumstances may include, but are not limited to.

  • Prolonged outage of Internet access
  • Significant outage / failure of local power grid.
  • Computer hardware failure
  • Force Majeur
    • We may not be able to release an update if the United States, or Maine to be precise, is being attacked or if the Internet infrastructure of the U.S. has been either crippled or destroyed.
    • Read more on Force Majeur HERE
